Gluten-Free Guangdong Style Black Pepper Beef



Enjoy the bold flavors of Guangdong style black pepper beef with this gluten-free version. Tender beef slices are stir-fried with a medley of vegetables and seasoned with fragrant black peppercorns, creating a dish that's bursting with savory goodness.

Ingredients:

  • 400g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine or dry sherry
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons black peppercorns, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions:

Cut up the beef and put it in a bowl

Add the soy sauce, rice wine, and cornstarch

For at least 15 minutes, let it sit

On high heat, add vegetable oil to a wok or fry pan

The beef should be stir-fried for two to three minutes, or until it turns brown

Take it out of the pan and set it aside

If you need to, add a little more oil to the same pan

The onion, bell pepper, and garlic should be stir-fried until they smell good and get a little soft

Put the beef back in the pan

Mix in sugar, gluten-free oyster sauce, and ground black pepper

Mix things together well

Allow the flavors to blend and the sauce to get a little thicker for another two to three minutes

If you need to, add salt to the seasoning

Warm it up and serve it with rice or your favorite gluten-free side dish
